One would hardly think that online casino enter into this picture, especially not as a preference over drinking a pint. As startling as this may sound, in a recent survey conducted in Britain, it was found that men in particular enjoy playing at online casinos than going down to the pub to have a pint of beer. Online casinos are a relatively new pastime in England while drinking at the pub is as old as the hills. The survey was conducted to test the success of the online casinos market in Britain, and also as part of the heightened interest in online casinos and gambling because of the new Gambling Act. The survey revealed that 38% of online gamblers would prefer to play at online casinos, while 19% would prefer online casinos over having a drink at the pub. While many gamblers said they loved every minute that they played at online casinos, only 9% said that they would like to quit their jobs and play at online casinos full time, on a professional level. Approximately 375,000 play for over ten hours a week, but only 3% play during office hours. Back |
